Welcome to the (soon-to-be) 122 Walter Hardwick Residents Association

A community-led association for residents of 122WH in the heart of Vancouver's Olympic Village.

Some residents at 122WH are exploring the idea of starting a Residents Association.

What is a Residents Association?

A Residents Association (also called a Tenants Association) is a group of people who live in the same building and work together to:

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Talk about shared concerns
  • ๐Ÿ  Improve building life
  • ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Communicate with the SUCCESS Affordable Housing Society (SAHS) as a group

Why start a Residents Association?

  • ๐Ÿงน Help SAHS staff manage shared spaces like the amenity room and garden
  • ๐ŸŽ‰ Support building events like the Halloween Party, Connecting Our Community events, a "Junk Removal Day", and so on
  • ๐Ÿค Encourage neighbours to help each other and build a stronger community
  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Create a fair space for residents to share ideas and solve problems together

Next Step

After a successful meeting on February 28th to gauge interest, the organizing committee (that's Alysoun, Elyssa, Gwen, and Anthony) will be putting together a document that outlines our goals and values, and we'll circulate it for dicussion before the end of March.
